Peter
King was born in Asmara Eritrea in 1964 by mother Eritrea and Italian
Father.
Always
a music lover, Peter started playing the electric guitar at the age of
12 with his twin brother.
Without attending schools he was able to play by ear. When Peter was eighteen
years old in 1982, he moved to Rome
Italy leaving his native land because of the war that broke
out between Ethiopia and Eritrea where he had participated in several
Eritrean festivals.
At
the age of 35 he was Influenced by the Blues and by an Italian guitarist,
Mr. AA King. Peter honed his style of Blues by watching and playing along
with videos of Legendary Blues Artists, especially B.B.King, Albert King,
Freddy King, Buddy Guy, Luter Allison, Little Milton and so on.
After
years practicing during his free time after his job as an employee in
the Italian transport minister, in 2010 Peter formed a band with Shadows
of Blues.
The
artist begins a rich live experience that leads him to perform on numerous
occasions in nightclubs such as IL Nidaba Theater Fermento, La Buca din
San Vincenzo, Il Ragoo, Peackok Lounge, etc. and festivals, getting more
and more appreciation and recognition.
The
singer guitarist also boasts experience as a solo singer, as well as performing
with his twin brother in the twin blues brother version
Peter King is currently recording and producing his first solo recording
work: titled Born for the Blues.
