Blues Artists, Blues Fans and Blues Societies,

Thank you for your interest in the Blues Hall of Fame ® Crossroads Eco-Village project.

It is our " Mission from God" to create a world class Blues Hall of Fame ® Museum for Blues Musicians and the General Public, and to create a "Blues Mecca" for all Local Blues Artists of Chicago and The World to meet, jam, perform, teach and learn more about this uniquely American Musical Art Form called The Blues.

Clearly, The World needs a Blues Hall of Fame ®, and we have something special.
We not only induct the Great Master Blues Artists, We also induct Great Local Blues Artists into a Great Local Blues Artists of The World category.

This is a wonderful recognition for the tens of thousands of Local Blues Artists who work tirelessly night after night entertaining us at clubs in all corners of The World, and it also personalizes their involvement in our organization.

They are not just members, they are now Artists inducted into The Blues Hall of Fame ®.

Imagine having an after or before concert party at The Blues Hall of Fame ® Museum, all filled with displays of the Great Master Blues Artists and their music.

Take a step further and get a "Back Stage Pass" and head down stairs to see Live Video Recordings of Great Local Blues Artists being made, Live Blues Jams & Live Performances.

Take a giant step and "Sit In" with one of the bands.
Buy a Shirt or a Video that says; "I played The Blues Hall of Fame ®."
I submit some of our preliminary conceptual Floor Plans and an Elevation Detail which I hope will inspire you to come up with something better.

Upon entering BHF, you are free to wander to any Exhibit, however, it is recommended that
you view the "Story of The Blues From The Delta to Chicago" video in the 360 Degree 3D Theater, in order to immerse BHF guests into the rich history and culture of The Blues.

Next, you can choose to begin viewing our Inducted Master Blues Artists Exhibits starting out with Exhibit #1, i.e., the oldest known Inducted Master Blues Artist, continuing through to the youngest. This should establish a progression of Blues Music's development.

Here is sort of what a Master Blues Artists Exhibit might look like.

In the Museum, we also plan to have sound proof interactive displays which, with the help of a video instruction display and possibly live volunteers, would get 5 to 10 guests playing various Drums, Congas, Bongo's, Shakers and other Percussion instruments, to pre-recorded beats.

Another interactive room would display the basics of the 12 Bar Blues. We would provide simple instruments and guests could play single notes following the 1, 4, 5, 12 Bar pattern.

The Local Blues Artist, & Blues Societies of The World Exhibit, would showcase Local Blues Artists and also demonstrate the tremendous influence that The Blues has had on our World.

Of course, we plan to have numerous live performing venues in addition to the Outdoor Amphitheater and Indoor Concert Hall, such as "The Live & Holographic Stage", A Juke Joint, Country Cabin in the Woods, A Speakeasy, A Dive Bar, The Musicians Lounge, etc. All venues are designed to immerse guests into various eras and styles of The Blues.

Various Glass Display Cases will house Blues Memorabilia, and then the BHF Gift Shop.
We feel that this part of BHF Chicago will give our guest a memorable Blues experience.

However, This is just the start of the experience. See our additional Lower Floor Plan below.

On this Conceptual Lower Floor Plan, we intend to provide a Video Recording Studio, many Practice, Lesson and Jam Rooms, a large Musicians Performance Lounge and we plan to incorporate BHF Museum Tours through this area, Back Stage Passes for Museum guests.

Equipment Lockers will also be provided, so that visiting musicians can safely store their guitars or keyboards allowing them to be free to partake of all of the sites features.

Drums, Amplifiers and PA equipment should be made available at each practice room and performance venue, so that visiting Blues Musicians just need to show up.

Multiple simultaneous creative Blues Jams which introduce musicians to each other, mix match and allow for hours and hours of jamming with scores of Blues Musicians will occur.

Of course we would hope that some of the experienced professional and semi-pro players would share a half hour or so with some less experienced Blues Musicians who just may need their insightful help getting to that next level.

Above is our Conceptual Lower Floor Plan which shows 8 Practice Rooms a Meeting and Performing Lounge, A Video Recording and Broadcasting Studio and large windows and pathways for Museum guests to view Blues Jams, Performances and Video Recordings in progress.

Now that you understand some of our vision, let me leave you with one more thought.

We want to bring The Blues and The Blues Hall of Fame ® to The World.

Imagine Blues Hall of Fame ® Chicago, Blues Hall of Fame ® Clarksdale, St. Louis, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New Orleans, London, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, etc.

Our Ambassadors to these cities all believe that they would be very well received.

Again, Thank You,

Dan "Lucky" Marolt
